The objective of health as related to labor is important to any work environment. Job safety is a priority for all employees because as an hourly wage earner injury means wage loss and thus problems. Therefore it is the responsibility of this department to assure labor practices on job sites guarantee workers’ rights to fair, safe and healthy working conditions, which includes a fair hourly wage and overtime pay, health benefits, and unemployment insurance as well as maintaining statistical data on careers, job, employment/unemployment, wages and salaries.

Statistical Data is important to a nation to measure it’s progress and success in achieving goals and objectives that leadership sets for it’s people, in comparison to other nations. Therefore the collection of specific statistical data for a specified purpose is crucial to effectively asses various social needs.
There is a good percentage of the population of any nation who are groomed to hard work and enjoy working with their hands. Skilled labor careers and union jobs can provide a good standard of living for a family.
